This bar chart indicates different market shares of automobiles of three types of brand affiliations between 2008 and 2009.
In 2008，cars with Japanese brands topped the three types of vehicles，accounting for 35% of the total market. What follows is the cars with Chinese brands，hitting 25% of the auto market，with the share of American brand bottomed out at 15%. In 2009，some developments are noticeable in that the cars with the largest share became those of Chinese brands，which occupied roughly 32% of the market，while cars with Japanese and American brands took 25% and 15% of the whole market respectively.
It is observed that between 2008 and 2009，cars of Chinese and Japanese brands took turns to be the in terms of market share while those with American brands ranked the last in both years. And the share of Chinese-brand cars witnessed a mild increase and that of the Japanese-brand cars saw a moderate decrease，while the American-brand cars stayed the same.
From this graph，we can come to the safe conclusion that the Chinese automakers are doing a good job in outcompeting their Japanese and American counterparts in 2009，but the gap is not so significant and if no efforts were made from the part of the Chinese auto industry，the distribution map might be rewritten in the future.

A Brief History of World Commercial Fishing
This picture shows a drastic change in the world’s commercial fishing. The two parts display totally different scenes in 1900 and 1995. In 1900, there were a large number of fish while only one boat was fishing on the ocean. But in 1995 fishing boats increased sharply while only one fish was left. The fish supplies have almost been exhausted by overfishing.
Judging from the picture, we can see that within about 100 years, humans have stripped the sea of her generous offerings. If we dont put an end to the trend, then the fish in the ocean could become extinct species in the foreseeable future.
Therefore, it is high time we took effective measures to solve this problem. First, we must bring world population under a reasonable control, as overfishing is largely due to the need to fill the additional mouths. Second, every year in the fishs mating season, a _grace period_ should be enforced during which the fish are allowed to reproduce themselves. Third, strict laws should be implemented. Last but not least, we should enhance the awareness of the public that the ocean resources are very vital to us. Only when these above mentioned measures are put into practice can we save the fish from disappearing completely.

I have checked the water supply facilities accessible on campus in October,2004 to ease water shortage problem. Most of the hardware still works all right but some equipment is problematic.
124 out of 1036 old-fashioned water taps in classroom buildings and students dormitories were found to be either leaking or broken; water keeps running our day and night in 14 student bathrooms for many weeks, at least wasting tons of water every day. Few water meters are installed in student dormitories, resulting in unfair water bill. I think that effective measures be taken to save water, including replacing all old water taps with advanced ceramic ones, installing water meter for individual users, and heightening the awareness of water shortages.

This picture is a symbol that tells us how we should use our love: our love is like a lamp; the darker the place, the brighter the light. Indeed, love is most precious when it is offered to someone who is in difficulty.
I can tell you a real story here. When I was a child, my family moved to the countryside. Among our new neighbors was a paralyzed woman. As an innocent child, I somehow showed some interest in her. When I had time, I would to see her. When I had something to eat, I would let her share with me. One day she suddenly said to me, tear in her eyes, “I will bless you when I am in heaven.” I knew my love for her had worked wonders, for I had never heard her speaking and I thought she had lost her ability to speak.
